Pray for our Hispanic congregations!
This is a very uncertain time for our Hispanic believers.  Pray for their encouragement and that they will be a bold witness to others.  Pray for the Lord to give them peace of heart and mind.

Laotian Mission News

We need a church to become a SPONSOR OF THE LAOTIAN MISSION!  We are looking at ways to reach more adults.  Our adults meet at 3:00 pm on Sunday.  Pray for those that have committed their lives to the Lord that they will stay strong under tremendous pressure from the Buddhist community!  We meet at Cedar Spring Baptist Church in the back lower level of the church.  Please pray about the possibility of relocating the adult ministry and the possibility of having a church building of our own. Please pray for this ministry!  Prayer will be the means that God uses to open the hearts of the Laotian community!

Members of the Cambodian Mission in Spartanburg attended the Cambodian Fellowship at Ridgecrest held July 11-13.  Pastor Sam Duong (shown seated with his family) is leading the group in Spartanburg and in Charlotte, NC.

Cambodian fellowship Ridgecrest

On Sunday mornings before Sunday School/Bible Study, classes are held (one for children; one for adults both Cambodian and American) to teach Khmer reading and writing. This has brought new families to the church. Classes are followed with the Bible Study class and then praise and worship. English classes continue to meet on Sunday afternoons and Citizenship Class is held once a month with special assistance with individuals as needed. The Cambodians are now having their own service in our chapel.

In recent weeks, God has shown us what He has been busy doing in the area of Internationals.  He has brought together several young Christian internationals for Bible Study.  They have been meeting for several months and are ready to expand and begin a larger fellowship.  The Lord has brought together individuals from several ethnic groups (Cambodian, Laotian, Thai, African & American).

As a Network, we are excited about being a part of what God is doing and want to help facilitate this fellowship.  If you would like to be a part of this International Fellowship, contact us at 864-583-2001 or e mail kaleidoscope_spa@bellsouth.net.
