Boiling Springs First Baptist Church is one of the oldest churches in America. The archives in Columbia, SC states that in 1784 John Conner sold to Boiling Springs M.H. (Meeting House) land for its church. The Revolutionary War scattered the congregation, and the church was destroyed by the British and the Tories. Records state that the church reorganized in 1792 with the Reverend Thomas Burgess officiating.

In 2005, Dr. Hank Williams accepted the call to become Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, SC.

The church today is in the hub of one of the

fastest growing parts of Spartanburg County and has multiple Worship and

Sunday School hours each week with ministries for all ages.
