2008 THEME: GIVE IT AWAY
As another year comes to pass and a new one emerges, great things await us in accordance with our faithfulness and obedience to follow the Lord’s leading in our lives.
My prayer for each of you in 2008 is that God will become more real to you than He ever has been before now. However, that will only happen as you GIVE yourself and all you have to Him in complete surrender (Luke 14:33). We, in and of ourselves, simply have nothing of any true and lasting value to offer this world. The greatest gift we have to offer anyone as true born again Christians is JESUS CHRIST! He offers all who believe in Him according to His Word, Strength for today, Hope for tomorrow and Life eternal.
1 Timothy 6:17-20 reminds us that our riches are not found in this world, nor is our hope found in wealth. On the contrary, we are commanded to do good, be rich in good deeds and to be generous and willing to share all we have been given. We are to guard that which has been entrusted to our care, the Gospel itself. Only then will we receive our just rewards/treasures as a firm foundation for the age to come and be able to take hold of life that is truly Life.
In 2008, may you rediscover the gift of life God has already given you as a true believer! Only then, will you be able to truly “GIVE IT AWAY” and experience the true joy of being a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Remember, nothing is quite as good, until you “GIVE IT AWAY.”
I challenge you today, not to hoard up all you have, but “GIVE IT ALL AWAY” that others might see Jesus in you and worship God, the Father.
KINGDOM
CONNECTIONS
This ministry booklet is an important tool used to help Network churches and individuals connect with their communities by identifying some of the needs as well as opportunities for missions and ministry. Your feedback is especially helpful to us in tracking involvement and creating new opportunities in the future that will be meaningful and engaging for everyone.
Please make plans now as to how and when you will report your church’s involvement in these ministries, as well as other mission involvement you take part in this year to the network. This will help keep us informed and allow us to share with others what each of our churches is doing in the area of missions and ministries. Your mission involvement may serve to encourage and motivate others to get more involved. After all, this is a Kingdom effort.
Another component of Kingdom Connections is churches networking with other churches to help fulfill the Great Commission through service and evangelism. Smaller churches and/or new church plants can often partner together and accomplish much more than working independently. However, larger churches can also be a part of kingdom growth by lending a helping hand to other churches.
We would like to know what you and/or your church is participating in each month, how many volunteers were involved and your evaluation/results from your efforts. Let me hear from you and how God blesses your obedient service to Him and others. The results will be compiled in a Blessings Notebook twice a year for anyone to review and be blessed.
Ask God how He would have you “Give It Away” in 2008
